Q50 Races Run to the Hills

Hello Everyone:

Can’t wait to see you all.
Last Instructions:
1.- Come early we have a full house. Start of the race is at the Mountain Bike Trail Parking lot. Coming into the park, take the first right and follow the road until you see a Q50 flag on the right side very easily.
2.- NO TRANSFER REGISTRATIONS!
3.- Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
4.- Please bring the exact change $3.00 per person, if no one is at the window. You can give the fee to Nicole at the registration table.
5.- We have a limited amount of paper cups. Bring your own hydration belt, water bottle or camelback. We will have plenty of Gatorade and Water.

Keep your distance upon registration and start of the event. If you wish to wear a mask feel free is not require.

  1. .  $3/person Park Entry Fee.

  2. Deadline for mileage switching: Wednesday, 6/12 Midnight.  NO mileage switching on Race Day.

  3. Race Schedule:  Parking will be full, please show up early!

    1. 6:00am-7:45am – Registration

    2. 7:45am – Course Instructions

    3. 8:00am – Race Starts

    4.  Mountain Bike Trail Parking lot
  4. 10 Milers have one water/food station at the end of the 5 Mile loop.  No Station for the 5 Milers.

  5. Please bring your own hydration container, as we try to practice a minimal use paper policy.

  6. Food for Race Participants will be provided by the New Orleans Mission.

  7. Bring Insect Repellent & Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate.

  8. If you get lost, cut the course, or do the wrong course: NO place award.

We are doing our best to provide a safe and fun environment for you to MOVE in a positive and challenging way.  Please, let’s continue to extend mutual respect to one another.

We are very excited you are participating in this awesome event a TRAIL EVENT!

 “Do not guarantee a t-shirt- SWAG within 2 weeks of signing for this race”

Remember we are banning plastic bottles for our next Q50 Races Run to the Hills. We will have plenty of water in 5 gallon coolers. You need to bring your own bottle water, camelback, (BYOC) bring your one cup, hydration belt. We will not have paper or plastic cups neither. Thank you for your understanding.

Registrations will start March 1st!

NO WATER STATION ON THE COURSE! ONLY ONE FOR THE 10 MILERS AT THE 5 MILE POINT, AND WE WILL NOT HAVE PAPER OR PLASTIC CUPS AT THE START AND FINISH, YOU MUST BRING YOU OWN BOTTLE WATER, CAMELBACK OR HYDRATION BELT AND A WHISTLE!

WE WILL HAVE PLENTY OF WATER AND FLUIDS AT THE START AND FINISH TO FILL THEM UP, THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.

Check the weather before you come and bring mosquito repellent! Also drink plenty of fluid before and after the race, in the last editions we had problems with heat stroke, we don’t want those problems this year.

   – NO DOGS, NO PACERS, NO BABY STROLLERS, NO BICYCLES,  NO EARPHONES, etc. ALLOWED on the COURSE!

 – This event is “Bring Your Own Bottle”.  In our efforts to keep our races and the park green,         we will not have cups at the water stations.  This reduces the amount of trash and therefore, our  impact on the park.  Water will be provided for filling up your bottles, camelbacks, and other containers at the water stations on the course.  Drink water to stay hydrated. 

 – There is an entrance fee of $3.00 per person to be admitted to the Park.  This fee does not apply to seniors (age 62 and older) or for children under 3 years old.  – Come prepared for the HOT weather.  Bring sunscreen and make sure to stay hydrated. 

INSECT repellent is a MUST! 

 – HAVE FUN!  Plan to stay for the post-race activities and awards ceremony.  We want everyone to have a great day, in this amazing place.  There is also kayaking, tubing, canoeing and  horseback riding available at the park for after the race.

Location:  Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, LA 
Directions: 17049 State Park Blvd., Franklinton, LA  70438-From I-12, take US 190 north to Hwy. 25. Travel approximately 20 miles, then turn right onto State Park Blvd.  Entrance to the park is 1 mile on the left.  GPS Coordinates:  N 30.767527983, W -90.1573070.
 10 Mile course information: The 10 mile course is 2 LOOPS .  The course is a dirt trail and is very scenic and beautiful.  There are small hills, but the trail is not technical at all. Only one station for drinks etc
5 Mile course information: The 5 mile course is one loop around the park trail,
